I want so many things.
I want you to adore me.
I believed in everything
the storybooks told me.
I don’t understand why people are born
Only to want what will never be yours.
I want so many things.
Other girls have them.
How do you get from A to B.
How does anything happen.
I’ve never been good at being happy.
I’d learn how if I could, but I just keep on wanting everything.
Can you blame me?

I saw Mal Blum perform years ago at a show and I felt instantly connected to the songs they wrote. There's something just really comfortable about the stories the songs tell, and it can seem so personal at times that it just feels like your own feelings inserted into the words you couldn't find on your own. sammichbot
This, along with the Every Time.... album, was spinning non-stop in my home a couple of years ago. I still come back to it regularly, and I love it dearly.
Also, Valentine's Day is one of the best burns I've heard. Absolutely epic. newt
